
The ICCS Challenge is an exciting opportunity for you to develop intercultural skills while contributing to real-world Citizen Science projects. Delivered in a blended format, the challenge combines individual and group work, incorporating both online and physical learning experiences with a mobility week at UT in Enschede, the Netherlands. You engage in a hands-on, challenge-based learning process that integrates intercultural competence with scientific outreach and citizen engagement.

Apply theoretical concepts of interculturality to analyze real-world scenarios or personal experiences, demonstrating an understanding of how cultural perspectives influence interactions and relationships
Contribute informed insights to discussions on interculturality, drawing on relevant theories and personal perspectives
Describe, discuss and compare theoretical frameworks of interculturality
Evaluate upon your initial intercultural competence level and your progress during the challenge
Investigate and evaluate a Citizen Science project in terms of content, research quality, stakeholders, target citizens and potential impact.
Create a Citizen Science participation plan (in the form of a report and presentation) within in a small, intercultural group project using a structured (creative) problem-solving approach.
Reflect how cultural dimensions influence one’s problem-solving approach.
