The Foundations of Inclusive Systems Design Challenge has been planned as an intensive international educational program aimed at first- and second-cycle (undergraduate and graduate) students representing various disciplines. Participants will focus on designing inclusive, user-centered systems using modern technologies such as VR/AR, wearable devices, and social robots. The school will be delivered in a blended format and will be based on the Challenge-Based Learning methodology, in which students work in teams on real social and environmental challenges. Participants go through the full design process – from analyzing user needs, through concept generation and prototyping, to testing and presenting solutions. Particular emphasis is placed on technology accessibility, interdisciplinarity, and the responsible use of innovation in the context of sustainable development. The program enables the development of design, technical, and social competencies, including collaboration in an international environment, communication in English, and creative problem-solving. As part of the challenge, students will have the opportunity to consciously participate in innovation processes, which will positively contribute to their further academic and professional development in the field of designing and applying modern inclusive systems.
