This challenge forms part of the MASSMa programme, delivered by ECIU institutions (INSA Toulouse and Trento University). In this challenge, you will use monitoring tools, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and multi-agent systems to solve a problem faced by industry: reducing the energy consumption of a manufacturing process. You will be tasked with using a data fusion system to identify the main source of energy use, boost productivity and improve the process. Working in groups of five, you will interact with a machine tool or manufacturing equipment, add sensors, analyse the data and present the results to the industrial client PadOcc (accelerator for the Occitanie region industry).
These are the teamchers you'll work with on the challenge.
By the end of this challenge, you will be able to apply a distributed computing system to collect real-time manufacturing data using IIoT tools and sensors.
By the end of this challenge, you will be able to analyze collected manufacturing data to identify patterns and evaluate energy consumption.
By the end of this challenge, you will be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the project goal.
By the end of this challenge, you will be able to present clear, evidence-based arguments during the final debate to respond effectively to the client’s needs.
