Reduce Energy Consumption in the Manufacturing Process
Open for application

Our Challenge

This challenge forms part of the MASSMa programme, delivered by ECIU institutions (INSA Toulouse and Trento University). In this challenge, you will use monitoring tools, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and multi-agent systems to solve a problem faced by industry: reducing the energy consumption of a manufacturing process. You will be tasked with using a data fusion system to identify the main source of energy use, boost productivity and improve the process. Working in groups of five, you will interact with a machine tool or manufacturing equipment, add sensors, analyse the data and present the results to the industrial client PadOcc (accelerator for the Occitanie region industry).
