€87,000, €105,000, €142,000 – these aren’t company profits, but the amounts individuals have lost after a single phone call. Fraud cases are reported daily, not only in Lithuania but across many countries around the world. Victims include not only the elderly but also well-educated, rational-thinking people. Why does this happen? How do fraudsters manage to manipulate even the most logical minds? In this challenge, students are invited to explore human behaviour, emotions, decision-making processes, and the psychological triggers that lead people to trust deception. Based on real cases and behavioural analysis, students will develop preventive solutions, awareness campaigns, and propose creative strategies to strengthen public resilience. This is not just an opportunity to engage with one of today’s most pressing issues – it’s a meaningful and inspiring experience that drives action, as it can genuinely help protect people and transform society.
