Are you ready to tackle one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time? Join us in this challenge that integrates biogas production into society for a greener transition. This year, we focus on the underutilized urban bioresources that could be optimized through anaerobic digestion, a biotechnology that transforms organic wastes to renewable biofuels and sustainable biofertilizer. The challenge is offered in collaboration with Jörgen Ejlertsson, Process and R&D excellence lead at St1 Biokraft, one of Northern Europe’s largest producers of bio-LNG, a sustainable and locally produced alternative to fossil fuels. The challenge is open to students from all backgrounds, blending engineering, natural sciences, and social studies to develop cutting-edge solutions.
These are the teamchers you'll work with on the challenge.
Communicate, orally and in writing, solutions to actors with diverse backgrounds and knowledge.
Employ interdisciplinary perspectives on production and system integration of biogas and biofertilizer to develop realistic solutions to sustainable development challenges.
Identify and account for defined problems within predefined, broad, and reality-based challenges for sustainable development.
