Following a successful first edition, the Everyday Heroes Challenge returns for a second round. Building on the inspiring ideas, meaningful prototypes, and close collaboration between international students and the Elfenwiese School community, we invite a new generation of participants to help shape a more inclusive future. Together with pupils, teachers, physiotherapists, and interdisciplinary experts, you will explore real challenges from everyday school life and co-create practical solutions with genuine social impact. From assistive devices and educational tools to playful installations and inclusive learning environments, every idea has the potential to make a meaningful difference. Working in interdisciplinary teams, you will be supported by experienced Teamchers from different TU Hamburg facilities. The challenge is designed as a hybrid learning experience: while some participants collaborate directly on-site in Hamburg, others contribute remotely through research, design, CAD modelling, digital prototyping, coordination, or documentation. An on-campus week for short-term mobility is possible. Together, you will combine engineering, creativity, empathy, and teamwork to transform ideas into tangible solutions that improve everyday life.
These are the teachers you'll work with on the challenge.
