Our Challenge

Step into the role of an advanced manufacturing engineer and tackle a real-world industrial challenge. In this hands-on program, you’ll work in teams to analyze an automated production line, reduce waste, optimize tool changeovers using SMED, and enhance machine performance—all while aligning with Net Zero Carbon and ESG goals. You’ll apply 3D scanning, CAD tools, and GOM Inspect software to assess worn components and design improved replacements. Gain experience with structured light scanning, advanced metrology, and predictive maintenance strategies to boost reliability and extend equipment life. Your solutions will support circular economy principles by minimizing material and energy waste. At the end, you’ll present your findings and recommendations in a professional report to a review panel—just like in a real industrial setting. This program equips you with practical, analytical, and sustainability-focused skills for the future of smart manufacturing.
