Hydrogen has great potential to contribute to the decarbonization of industry and transportation. One sector in which hydrogen is expected to play an important role is aviation. Aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and airports are developing new technologies and utilization concepts. Hamburg Airport, for example is preparing for the future use of hydrogen. But is it realistic to think that we are moving towards carbon-free aviation? What are the limiting factors? What ideas do you have for developing an efficient and reliable hydrogen supply system?
These are the teamchers you'll work with on the challenge.
At the end of the course, the participants will recognize the opportunities and challenges related to the use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel for sustainable aviation.
The participants will be able to define specific problems in the context of hydrogen infrastructure and supply network, to develop innovative solution approaches, and to discuss the practicability of their approaches.
Also, the participants will be able to work effectively and confidently within an international team. They will be competent to prepare professional reports and presentations in a group in English.
