In an increasingly globalized and multilingual world, work, home and life will likely involve using one or more foreign languages. However, a lack confidence in linguistic skills or fear of causing offense due to different cultural backgrounds can make communication difficult, or at least cause anxiety. However, this does not mean the skills needed for communication in these situations do not already exist. Therefore, this self-study course intends to help students reflect on their existing linguistic and intercultural communication abilities and identify how best to use them.
